Travis Myernick
Coach Myernick joins Players SC as the new Boys Director of Coaching




Players Soccer Club Director, Saeed Bonabian, announced the addition of Travis Myernick as the Club's Boys Director of Coaching. Myernick, a native of Colorado Springs, comes to Players Soccer Club after nine years of Men's Division I College coaching experience with the most recent as the Associate Head Coach at the University of San Francisco.

"Travis's extensive background in coaching in Division I level will be a tremendous asset in preparing our players for collegiate and professional levels of competition." Bonabian said. "Travis has a history of developing winning programs and his vast experience in Division I soccer will be a great help to our players during college selection and recruiting process."

Prior to serving as the Associate Head Coach at USF Myernick spent four years as an assistant coach at Old Dominion University where he played a key role in recruiting, planning training sessions, and administrative duties. During his four years at ODU, the Monarchs advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2013 and 2014 and were ranked as high as No. 9 nationally in 2015. Myernick helped guide the Monarchs to a Conference USA tournament championship in 2014 and helped coach 22 student-athletes who earned all-conference honors, including a pair of Major League Soccer draft picks.

Prior to coaching at Old Dominion, Myernick served as an assistant coach at Rider University during the 2011 and 2012 seasons where he helped the team qualify for the MAAC tournament for the first time in four years, while doubling the team's win total from the previous season prior to his arrival.

Myernick also spent two seasons as a volunteer assistant at Wake Forest in 2009 and 2010 where he oversaw camp operations and played a significant roles in recruiting visits and planning and execution of training. The Demon Deacons earned a College Cup berth during Myernick's first season on the staff and had four student-athletes selected in the first round of the MLS draft during his time with the team.

A 2002 graduate of Horizon High School in Thornton, Colo., Myernick earned his bachelor's in sport management in 2006 from Wingate University.
